Definition
The me are fundamental divine powers that make civilization possible, encompassing everything from kingship and priesthood to music, law, and the crafts.
Significance
Enki was the primary keeper of the me. Inanna famously stole them from him while he was drunk, bringing civilization's gifts to her city of Uruk.
